Terms of Service

Last updated: [DATE] · Applies to the Tempo & Tab Attendance add-on for Google Sheets

This is a starting draft, not legal advice. Have it reviewed before you rely on it, especially the liability and school-data sections.

1. Acceptance of terms

By installing or using the Tempo & Tab Attendance add-on ("the add-on"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't install or use the add-on.

2. What the add-on is

The add-on is a Google Apps Script tool that runs inside Google Sheets to help music educators manage class attendance, rosters, and related records. It runs under your own Google account's authorization and stores all data in your own Google Drive — see our Privacy Policy for details.

3. License to use

Tempo & Tab grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the add-on for your own classroom, program, or school use. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the add-on's code as your own product.

4. Your responsibilities

5. No warranty

The add-on is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Google Sheets and Apps Script are third-party platforms outside our control, and outages or changes on Google's end can affect the add-on's behavior.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tempo & Tab is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the add-on, including data loss. We recommend keeping your own backups of important attendance data (the add-on includes tools to help with this).

7. Changes to the service

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the add-on at any time. We'll aim to communicate meaningful changes through the Marketplace listing or this site.

8. Termination

You can stop using the add-on at any time by removing it from your Google account. We may discontinue the add-on or restrict access if these terms are violated.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR STATE/COUNTRY], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
